VOCAL MICS
The M88 from Beyerdynamic is an iconic microphone found in most commercial studios around the world. It is a great option for a large range of applications, live and in the studio. Perfect for vocals, bass drum, bass amp, and more.
Some products are born classics, and the M88 is widely known for being far ahead of its time, back when it was first introduced in the 1960`s. Incorporating a new low-mass diaphragm element, the M88 TG has earned its place in history. Sound engineers have found that the lightning-fast transient response of the microphone reproduces the complex sound patterns of this instrument, resulting in the tight `thump` without the need for complex signal processing. shotgun MICS
The MKH 416 is a compact pressure-gradient condenser microphone with a short interference tube. Featuring a super-cardioid polar pattern, low self noise, and feedback rejection, the MKH 416 can handle difficult exterior filming and reporting conditions.
The MKH816 P is a highly directional condenser microphone which operates on 48V phantom power. Sennheiser's RF condenser design makes the MKH models perform acceptionally well across a wider range of weather conditions where factors like temperature and humidity can begin to affect the operational reliability of typical designs.
Also available is the T version which operates on a strict 12V DC supply provided by a included PSU.
The MKH418 S is a M-S stereo shotgun microphone using Sennheiser's exclusive RF condenser technology. Its M-S format, compact dimensions, clarity and spatial representation make it ideally suited for every type of application in film, radio, television and reporting, both indoors and outdoors.
The MKH 60 is a lightweight shotgun condenser microphone. It is versatile and easy to handle and its superb lateral sound muting makes it an excellent choice for film and reporting applications. Its high degree of directivity ensures high sound quality for distance applications.
The MKH 70 is a lightweight long shotgun condenser microphone. Its excellent directivity is particularly suited to applications undertaken in difficult conditions, such as high background noise and distant microphone positioning.
The NTG1 is a lightweight condenser shotgun microphone, designed for professional applications within the film, video, television and production industries. Its full frequency response, low noise and audio transparency make it an ideal film, video, and voice over microphone, while its low weight (105gm/3.7oz) makes it an ideal boom microphone.
In addition to the native 20Hz-20kHz frequency response a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz is available, which prevents low end noise such as air conditioners and traffic from being recorded.
The NTG2 is a lightweight condenser shotgun microphone, designed for professional applications within the film, video, television and production industries. Its full frequency response, low noise and audio transparency make it an ideal film, video, and voice over microphone, while its low weight (161gm/5.7oz without battery) makes it an ideal boom microphone.
In addition to the native 20Hz-20kHz frequency response a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz is available, which will prevent low end noise such as air conditioners and traffic from being recorded.
The NTG2 operates either from a AA (1.5V) battery or P48 phantom power which can be supplied by professional cameras, audio recorders and power supplies. The battery power option makes the NTG2 ideal for scenarios where the camera does not supply phantom power such as DSLR video.
Studio MICS
The TLM 170 is a multi polar pattern condenser microphone with transformerless circuit topology. The microphone features exceptionally clean sound transmission, free of colouration, whilst offering extremely low self noise.
Five directional characteristics are selectable by means of a rotary switch. In the sixth position, marked "R", the directional patterns can be controlled remotely with the N 248 power supply. There is no special cable necessary for this purpose.
The TLM 170 also features a 10 dB attenuation switch for extremely high sound pressure levels, and a high-pass filter to suppress structure born noise.
The AKG C 414 B/ULS is a condenser microphone designed around a dual back-to-back gold sputtered diaphragm, offering multiple pickup patterns. Pickup patterns are easily switchable among omnidirectional, cardioid, hypercardioid, and figure-eight. Additional flexibility allows a bass cut of 12 dB/octave below 150 or 75 Hz and a PAD of either 10 or 20 dB.

The Shure KSM32 is a single-diaphragm, side-address, cardioid condenser microphone for studio recording and live sound productions. The KSM32 offers an extended frequency response making for a more accurate and natural recording. With a class A, transformerless preamplifier circuit, cross-over distortion is eliminated and linearity across the full frequency range is notably improved.
The 4006 is a omnidirectional condenser microphone. Ideal for A-B stereo pairs for studio or live recording and also suitable for vocals and close-miking all types of instruments.
The 4011 is a cardioid condenser microphone renowned for its directional quality and attention to detail. The cardioid pickup pattern provides superb separation between sound sources making it an excellent spot mic for recording elements of an overall performance.
The 4011 is suited to instruments and vocals and a 20dB PAD widens its range to louder sources. A flat on-axis frequency response and excellent phase response deliver a totally faithful reproduction of the original sound.
The cardioid MKH 40 has a large number of applications, especially in lightly reverberant or acoustically unforgiving rooms for instrumental groups or for speech applications. Its wide-angled, neutral directional characteristics and high level of reverse attenuation ensure an exceptionally balanced sound.
The CCM 4 is a compact cardioid condenser. It offers premium sound quality, flat frequency response, optimal rejection of rear-incident sound, and a directional pattern that remains constant throughout the audio frequency range.
The CCM8 is a compact condenser with a figure-8 polar pattern. Its main axis is at a right angle to the capsule, and is marked at 0° and 180° with a red and a black dot respectively.
The CCM41 is a strongly directional, super-cardioid condenser. Its directivity is highly independent of frequency, so that even sounds arriving off axis and reverberant sound are registered without coloration. Consequently, even distant placement of the capsule produces a very natural sound pickup. The CCM41 is preferred for when you want to capture a performance but not so much the room.
The NT6 is a compact 1/2" cardioid condenser microphone, specifically designed for difficult mounting applications where the highest quality audio is required. Although clearly relevant to instrument miking, the NT6 is extremely well suited to any situation where an unobtrusive but powerful microphone is required such as location recording.
The microphone is split into two modular components, joined by via a custom 3m (10') shielded, Kevlar reinforced cable. Featuring a gold-sputtered, true-condenser capsule, the NT6 capsule head measures 45mm (1.8”) in length and weighs only 42gm (1.5oz). The included all-metal, multi-position mounting ring provides 180 degrees of vertical rotation.
The NT6 preamp-body incorporates both a high-pass filter and pad setting. The high-pass filter can be introduced to cut vibration, rumble and undesired sounds sources under 80Hz, while the PAD offers a -10dB level attenuation, useful when recording louder sound sources.

The 4099 is a versatile Instrument Microphone suitable for use in the studio and live performance.Designed with a supercardioid polar pattern for high rejection and superior gain-before-feedback, the mic retains a highly uniform off-axis frequency response. It also features an enhanced shock mount design, a choice of detachable cables in two diameters, as well as a versatile gooseneck extender.
The SM98 is a miniature electret condenser microphone with a unidirectional (cardioid) pickup pattern. A smooth wide frequency response from 40 to 20,000 Hz allows the microphone to be extremely well adapted to pick up all kinds of musical instruments. The unidirectional pattern of the SM98 discriminates against sounds coming from the rear, permitting higher gain before feedback in sound reinforcement applications. The SM98 is an ideal spot microphone to highlight individual instruments in a performance. A very high maximum sound pressure level allows use of the SM98 with all acoustic instruments including drum kits and other percussion as well as brass, reed, wind, string, and keyboard instruments. The SM98 can also be used with amplified guitars and keyboards. The low-distortion, high-clipping-level preamplifier provides switch-selectable Flat or Low-Cut response to suit pickup characteristics needed for various instruments. The Low-Cut position is also useful when it is necessary to filter out low-frequency noise from such sources as wind noise or air conditioning equipment. The SM98 is powered either by two readily available 9-volt alkaline batteries (300 hours continuous battery life) or by an 11-to-52 Vdc simplex (phantom) supply from sound reinforcement, recording or broadcast equipment. The preamp is designed so that the battery supply will automatically switch in should the simplex power fail. However, no battery drain will occur as long as the simplex voltage exceeds the battery voltage.

The 4061 Omnidirectional Microphone, Lo-Sens offers a very clean, detailed and natural sound quality. Originally designed for use with wireless systems in theatre, television and close-miked instrument applications, the 4061 Miniature Omnidirectional Microphone, Lo-Sens is highly unobtrusive. Because of its small size, it exhibits an exceedingly accurate omnidirectional pattern and therefore does not need to be aimed directly at the sound source to achieve quality pickup.
This microphone is acoustically identical to the 4060 Miniature Omnidirectional Microphone, Hi-Sens, but the sensitivity is adjusted to match some of the more sensitive transmitters on the market.

Compatible stands are the CA-30, CA-40, CA-700 and CA-900 all of which include the XLR phantom power adapter.
The C800E is a electret condenser microphone with a hyper-cardioid polar pattern, optimised for speech purposes. The microphone is constructed from high quality brass and is terminated with a male 3 pin XLR plug. The microphone has a semi-rigid gooseneck shaft and includes a phantom power adaptor that will accept 9 – 48 Volts dc. The adapter also has filters which will eliminate all GSM frequencies from 800-1200 MHz.

The RSM 191 is a stereo microphone system consisting of the microphone and the MTX 191 A matrix amplifier. It has an adjustable pick-up angle and high directivity. The microphone has two separate capsule systems, a hypercardioid element and a figure-8, both in a short shotgun. Together they generate the mid and the side signals.
The matrix amplifier controls the width of the stereo image by changing the gain of the side signal relative to the middle signal in six 3 dB steps. The output signals of the matrix amplifier are either mid-side (MS) or left/right (XY). The signals are converted through transformerless sum-and-difference circuitry.
The balanced, transformerless technology permits the use of long cables between the microphone, the matrix amplifier and the following mic input of other signal processing equipment.
The USM69 condenser stereo microphone is a studio microphone that offers a range of XY stereo configurations as well as a Mid Side option. This is achieved by altering the polar pattern and the angle of the two capsules.
Supplied with a 5-pin XLR breakout cable to two 3-pin XLRs, the signal from each capsule can be recorded seperately which allows adjustments post recording.
The Shure Model VP88 is a single-point, stereo condenser microphone for use in professional studio recording, field production, electronic news gathering (ENG), and broadcasting applications. It combines two condenser cartridges in a single housing to create a stereo image of the sound source. It is unique in its ability to capture the realism of a live event and yet withstand rigorous environments in the field.
One cartridge (Mid) faces forward (end address) to capture on-axis sound using a cardioid pickup pattern. The other cartridge (Side) is bi-directional, capturing sound from either side. The VP88 contains an internal M-S matrix with three settings for different degrees of stereo image separation. The internal matrix can be bypassed if an external matrix is used or if stereo imaging is done in post-production.
The C522 Mid Side microphone uses three coincident cardioid capsules to capture direct sound along with side information on a seperate channel via 5-pin XLR. Operating on either phantom power or rechargeable battery, the C522 is allows the user to adjust the level between direct sound and ambience after the recording to achieve the desired ratio.

VIDEO CAMERA MICROPHONES
The VideoMic from Rode is a true directional shotgun microphone that can easily be mounted on a video camera, because it features an integrated shockmount that attaches to the camera's shoe. The VideoMic is lightweight, and when mounting on a camera it does not appear in the frame. Its super-cardioid polar pattern attenuates sounds from the sides. The result is a signal that sounds closer to the camera, even when shooting in noisy environments or at moderate distances.

Panamic boom poles are elegantly hand-crafted in the UK from the highest quality carbon fibre. They are extremely lightweight, with superb balance and a wear-resistant nylon-web handle which provides additional comfort. The entire range, which includes three, four and five section poles ranging from 0.73 to 5.00 metres in length, have silent operating nylon bushes, precision locking-rings and titanium tips.
Panamic poles are seen by many in the film and TV industry as the best in their field, and have achieved an exceptional reputation for build-quality, reliability and a long working life. Their sound pedigree (pun intended!) extends back to 1972 when award-winning sound recordist Colin Charles began manufacturing the first generation of hand-held poles in Watford. Canford acquired Panamic in 2007, which saw manufacturing move to Canford’s Portland (Dorset) site along with key manufacturing personnel.
